Hi girls!
After the holiday season and all the headache I got from removing my glitter nail polish I decided to look for one of these dip nail polish removers to see if this would make it any easier. Here in the Netherlands I could find the Magic Nail Polish Remover by Bourjois (8 €) and the Dip & Clean Nail Polish Remover at HEMA (2,75 €) and decided for the latter.
It consists of a plastic tub/jar containing a sponge soaked in nail polish remover. The idea is that you stick your finger in it, wiggle a bit and in a couple of seconds you pull out your finger with a perfectly clean nail. And it works!
In the video below I show you how I did it for one nail with regular nail polish on (base coat + 2x color + top coat).
And here's the before and after:
The nail polish came off very easy and no residue color on my fingers! So this remover passed the test of standard nail polish with flying colors!
TEST N.2: GLITTER NAIL POLISH
This is the reason I bought this remover in the first place and I was very curious to see what the results were.
Usually I have to soak nail by nail with a cotton pad and remover for 20-30 seconds otherwise it would be impossible to get the nail polish off (you can see an example in the pic below).
I tried instead dipping and wiggling in my new remover and the glitter polish went off really easy and fast! It took maybe 1 or 2 seconds more that for the regular polish, but I was still impressed!
So overall, this new Dip & Clean Nail Polish Remover from HEMA passed my tests on regular and glitter polish! It will make your mani-moment a tad shorter and is extremely cheap! I definitely recommend it!
