Damnation, my earlier fluff has come back to haunt me. The cockpit being slightly misaligned mucked up the bottom of the wings which in turn mucked up the top of the wing root. Not Airfix's fault but mine.
The gap was not huge but it still bugged me so out comes the putty.
Sanded back and ready to paint again.
Home alone tonight so hopefully more model action to come.
