8 pounds 11 ounces

twenty and a half inches

we are over the moon happy for them

and I was honored they chose, in part, my late husband's name

look at those hands, cheeks, early eyes open and HAIR

and now I will treat you to love in first pictures

in case you were wondering

new momma Elise holding Elijah in the first picture

followed by the crowned prince great grand

and then granddaughter Amanda holding him

dressed in a reindeer hat from her

yes, "that braid" is her real beautiful natural blond hair

(and I worried when she went through a purple hair phase)

sorry, I got off track for a minute

and there I am holding Elijah and then Jack, great grandpa

and then Scott, my son, proud as can be with his first grandchild

daughter in law Sue missed having her picture taken

but enough handling of the little one

there he is, unswaddled for a minute

in grandson daddy's arms

nothing like a newborn

a miracle treasure for us to love
