UPDATE: SENATOR DARIYE'S KIDNAPPED FATHER REGAINS FREEDOM

We posted on the 9th of February about the kidnapping of the 80 year old father of the ex-governor of Plateau State, Pa Dariye in his residence in Mushere village in Bokkos local government of Plateau state by men suspected to be fulani herdsmen.

The kidnappers demanded 10 million naira.

The good news is that Pa Dariye has regained his freedom and four out of the nine suspects are in custody. Emmanuel Abu, Plateau police command spokesperson told the News Agency of Nigeria that Pa Dariye was released after intensive intelligence gathering by the police and other security agencies.
